29 October 2015

Dr Judy Hart has been awarded this year’s Faculty of Science “June Griffith Fellowship for Academic Women in Leadership”.

The June Griffith Fellowship for Academic Women in Leadership is named after Dr June Clare Griffith, the first woman graduate at UNSW in 1955.  She took her undergraduate and masters studies in Chemistry at UNSW and became Director of First-Year Teaching in Chemistry in 1968. June was a legendary and inspirational teacher and mentor to her students.

This is a Faculty-wide award designed to promote teaching and learning amongst female academic staff.  The award attracts a grant of $25,000 to support Judy’s research and teaching activities.

We congratulate Judy on receiving this prestigious award.
