Prof. Sean Li wins Innovation Award 2016
Professor Sean Li has won the UNSW Innovation of the Year Award 2016 for his work in graphene enhanced high performance electric power grid transmission lines.
The UNSW Innovation Awards celebrate the diversity and value of innovation originating from UNSW staff, alumni and students. The 2016 UNSW Innovation of the Year Award recognises ideas along every stage of the innovation path, from early stages to fully developed products with commercial applications.
The awards were held during the UNSW Innovation Summit in November 2016. The summit brings together industry, government and research leaders from across Australia to discuss what it takes for Australia to maximise its impact on the world through innovation. Finalises were judged by a 5-person panel chaired by Professor Mary O'Kane, NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer, NSW Government.
Congratulations Sean on this outstanding achievement!
