Work Experience at MSE

13 December 2018

In November, the School hosted work experience groups from a number of local schools, with some of the budding scientists asking great questions displaying quite impressive prior knowledge and understanding of foundational Materials Science and Engineering principles!

Thanks to John for giving them a great overview on MSE and testing their knowledge further with a quiz; Claudia, Irshad and Heriyanto from the SMaRT Centre for leading tours of the E-Waste Micro Factory, showing examples of what they are producing from the E-Waste and also explaining what they are doing in the Green Waste Factory that will be opening up in 2019; Anthony for conducting a building tour; Rumaysa and Gagan for leading them through a Charpy Impact Experiment and finishing off the day with some Liquid Nitrogen Icecream and final Q&A Session.
