Zhenbo Tong receives prestigious postdoctoral fellowship

Zhenbo Tong, who recently completed his PhD under the supervision of A/Prof Runyu Yang, has been awarded a prestigious JSPS Fellowship by the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Research Council. He will use the 2-year fellowship to travel to Japan and work with Prof Kamiya of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.

In his PhD, Zhenbo researched the dispersion mechanisms of powders as an aerosol for inhalation drug delivery. He has published 9 journal and 11 conference papers in this area. And also won a Best Poster Award at the Symposium on Drug Delivery Systems in 2011 in Singapore, performed strongly in the Faculty of Science Postgraduate Research Competition and  received a Commercialisation Training Scheme (CTS) Scholarship.
